During the 16th EAAACA Annual General Meeting held on 24th April, 2026 in Nairobi- Kenya, EAAACA admitted the Zanzibar Anticorruption and Economic Crimes Authority (ZAECA). ZAECA becomes the 9th member to join the regional bloc in pursuit of a corruption free Eastern Africa.

In his remarks, the Director General of ZAECA, thanked the Executive Committee for approving the Authority to join the Association in order to strengthen regional collaboration in the fight against corruption
